Onlink vs Linktree: pricing, fees, selling and pages

Onlink's orange app icon on the left and Linktree's green icon on the right, a VS label between them, on a background split diagonally into two colours

Linktree pricing is four plans: Free at $0, Starter at $8 a month or $6 a month billed annually, Pro at $15 or $12, and Premium at $35 or $30, per Linktree's own pricing page read on 6 September 2026, with a fee on each digital product sale of 12% on Free, 9% on Starter and Pro and 0% on Premium, per its fees article. Onlink is three plans: Free at $0 with 10% on each sale, Pro at $12.50 with 7%, and Premium at $37.50 with 0%. This guide puts the two side by side on price, on what a sale costs, on how the money reaches you, on what each page holds and on how much of the page you can change, with every Linktree number from Linktree's pages and every Onlink number from the Onlink pricing page.

The short version: both sell on the free plan, and both pay you through a Stripe account. On a free-plan sale Linktree keeps 12% and Onlink keeps 10%; Onlink's Pro is priced below Linktree's Pro on both billings with a lower fee; the two Premium plans both take 0%, at the same $30 a month on annual billing. Linktree prints seven tools that Onlink does not offer: Instagram auto-replies, social scheduling, a link shortener, a QR code, mailing list integrations, an affiliate shop and a Canva editor. What Onlink puts on every plan that Linktree sells by tier is the design: two layouts you arrange yourself, a colour, gradient or pattern background and no Onlink branding badge; in Linktree's own words its free plan is "Free with restrictions", and in a pilot in eligible countries some free pages may show an ad after a click.

We read Linktree's pricing page from the United States so that it printed dollars, its paid features overview, its features page and its home page on 6 September 2026, put the six questions below to both, and read Linktree's fees, selling, Earn eligibility, Shops payout and ads articles besides. Every Linktree line is a page's own words or numbers, and every Onlink number comes from the constants the product charges on, which the Onlink pricing page prints.

  • Price: each plan, monthly and billed annually, and the fee on a sale by plan.
  • The free plan: what it holds, what it withholds, and whether a footer or an ad comes with it.
  • The sale: what a $20 sale leaves you on each plan, and where the plans cross.
  • The money: which account receives a sale, where it sits, and what the buyer gets.
  • The page: what it holds and what you can sell on the free plan.
  • Design: what the page is, and what you can change on it.

Sources, each read on 6 September 2026: Onlink pricing, Linktree's pricing page, read from the United States so that it printed dollars, Linktree's fees article, Linktree's paid features overview, Linktree's guide to selling digital products, Linktree's Earn eligibility article, Linktree's Shops payout article, Linktree's ads on Free article, Linktree's features page and Linktree's home page. Linktree's pricing page shows prices in the visitor's local currency; the figures here are the dollar ones it printed to a reader in the United States. Onlink bills in USD on every plan, and its fees are platform fees taken at the moment of payment, with Stripe's processing fee charged by Stripe on top.

Is Linktree free?

Yes, with the restrictions its own pages name: "Unlimited basic links" on its pricing page, selling at 12% of each sale per its fees article, featured links "limited to one" and the footer removable only "on Pro and Premium plans" per its paid features overview, and, in a pilot described in its ads article, "Some Free Linktrees may show a short ad to visitors after they click an external link." Onlink's free plan sells digital products, courses, paid calls, donations and tips at 10%, with no card, no time limit, no Onlink branding badge and no ads.

The Linktree lines are from its pricing page, paid features overview, fees article, features page and ads article, each read on 6 September 2026. We built Onlink's free plan to hold almost the whole product on purpose: the page, both layouts, every kind of selling and every card type are on Free, with the auto-updating YouTube channel card on Pro and Premium and the photo or video background on Pro and Premium, and the subscription is for a lower fee and more tools, not for the branding to come off or the ads to stop.

On Linktree a digital product sale costs 12% on Free, 9% on Starter and Pro and 0% on Premium, plus Stripe's "2.9% + $0.30 per purchase", per its fees article read on 6 September 2026; on Onlink it costs 10% on Free, 7% on Pro and 0% on Premium, plus Stripe's fee. On a $20 sale you keep $17.60 on Linktree Free and $18.00 on Onlink Free before the processor's fee, and Linktree's own worked example is a $34.99 course: $29.48 to you on Free, $30.53 on Starter or Pro, $33.68 on Premium, after both fees.

Two of the pairings decide themselves and two depend on how much you sell. Onlink Free keeps $0.40 more than Linktree Free on every $20; Onlink Pro at $10 a month billed annually with 7% sits below Linktree Pro at $12 with 9% on both the price and the fee. Linktree Starter at $6 a month billed annually charges 9% against Onlink Free's 10%, and that one point covers the $6 on $600 of sales a month: below it Onlink Free costs less, above it Starter does, though Onlink Pro at $10 with 7% is below Starter from $200 of sales a month and below Onlink Free from $333.33. The two Premium plans are the same $30 a month billed annually at 0%, and Linktree's is $2.50 a month less on monthly billing; each pays for itself against its own free plan's fee at $300 of sales a month on Onlink and $250 on Linktree.

  • You sell $100 a month: Onlink Free costs $10; Linktree Free costs $12; Linktree Starter costs $15 with the plan on annual billing.
  • You sell $600 a month: Onlink Free costs $60; Linktree Starter costs the same, $60; Onlink Pro costs $52 with the plan on annual billing.
  • You sell $1,000 a month, plans on annual billing: Onlink Free costs $100; Onlink Pro costs $80; Linktree Pro costs $102; either Premium costs $30, the plan alone.
  • You sell $5,000 a month, plans on annual billing: Onlink Premium and Linktree Premium both cost $30; Onlink Pro costs $360 and Linktree Pro $462.

The processor's fee is left out of every line because Stripe charges it on both; Linktree prints it as "2.9% + $0.30 per purchase" and notes that "Both fees are automatically deducted before your payout is sent." Linktree's selling guide also sets the price range: "You can set your own price between $1.00 and $10,000 USD (or local equivalent)." Onlink's fee is taken at the moment of payment, and nothing is charged until a sale happens.

Where does the money go, and how do you get paid?

On both, a digital product sale is paid through Stripe into an account that is yours: Onlink through Stripe Connect at the moment the buyer pays, Linktree into "a new Stripe account for your Linktree store", with earnings "sent directly to your Stripe account" "daily, weekly or monthly", per its selling guide read on 6 September 2026. Its Shops and Sponsored Links commissions are "available to Linkers in the United States" per its fees article, and paid "usually on a monthly basis" after the retailer's returns window, which "can take up to 60 days or sometimes longer", per its Shops payout article.

The Linktree quotes are from its selling guide, fees article and Earn eligibility article, each read on 6 September 2026. On Onlink the buyer's library keeps their downloads and courses from every Onlink seller under Downloads, Courses and Bookings, open while the product is on your page and for 30 days after you delete it, with a countdown before it is removed, and a booking until the call has passed. The 35 countries on Linktree's list include the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and most of the European Union, and do not include Brazil, India or Mexico; a creator elsewhere "can still share free digital downloads".

What does each page hold?

Onlink's page is a bento grid of cards you place yourself: photos, videos, links, notes, a map, Spotify and YouTube cards, an Instagram card of your posts or reels, and the paid cards for digital products, courses, paid calls, donations and tips, all on the free plan. Linktree's page is a list of links under a profile image, with digital products, courses and bookings from its Earn features, plus the growth tools its features page lists: Instagram auto-replies, a social planner, a link shortener, a QR code generator, forms, email integrations and a Canva background editor, each read on 6 September 2026.

The Linktree lines are from its pricing page, paid features overview, features page and fees article, each read on 6 September 2026. Onlink does not offer Instagram auto-replies, social scheduling, a link shortener, a QR code, scheduled links, mailing list integrations, an affiliate shop or a Canva editor; if those are on your list, Linktree prints them, most on Pro or Premium. What Onlink puts on the free plan that Linktree's pages sell by tier is the page itself: the photos and video that sell the product next to the product, arranged by you, and the paid call and the course with hosted video at 10%.

How much of the page can you change?

On Onlink, almost all of it, and on every plan: the page is a grid of cards you drag into place, laid out once for the desktop and once for the phone, with the background as a colour, a gradient or a pattern on Free and as a photo or a video on Pro and Premium, and no Onlink branding badge on any plan. Linktree's pages, read on 6 September 2026, print "Custom themes, fonts, & layouts" and "Remove Linktree branding" on Pro, and, in the paid features overview, "Advanced Design customization" with "background images, videos, or solid colors" on paid plans.

What you can change about the page, per each site's own pages on 6 September 2026
What you can changeOnlinkLinktree
LayoutA bento grid: cards of different sizes, each placed where you drag it; the other cards settle around itA list of links under the profile; "Featured Layout" links, one on Free and unlimited on paid plans; "Collections with layouts like Grid or Carousel" on paid plans
Desktop and phoneTwo layouts, arranged separately: the desktop grid and the phone grid are each yours to setOne page; a desktop layout of its own is not printed on the pages we read
BackgroundA colour, a gradient or a pattern on every plan; a photo or a video on Pro and Premium"Use background images, videos, or solid colors" under "Advanced Design customization", on paid plans; "From video backgrounds to removing the Linktree logo" on the pricing page
Avatar and cardsAvatar placement, card sizes and card positions are yours on every plan"Hero profile image" on Pro and Premium; a video as the profile image on paid plans; "Spotlight and animated prioritization" for a link; what Free's image allows is not printed on the pages we read
Themes and fontsNo theme layer; the grid, the background and the cards are the design"Choose from fresh themes and custom color palettes", "Customize fonts, button colors, and text styles" and "Select different button shapes and layouts" on paid plans
Platform brandingNone on any plan"Remove Linktree branding" on Pro; the footer is removable "on Pro and Premium plans"
Getting startedPick a handle and the page exists; add cards; nothing to install, no code"Create and customize your Linktree in minutes"; "Customize every detail or let Linktree automatically enhance it"

The Linktree lines are from its pricing page, paid features overview and home page, each read on 6 September 2026. The difference a creator feels is in the editing. On Linktree the page is a list on a theme, and the design tools are a tier: the themes, the fonts, the background and the absent branding each arrive with a plan; on Onlink there is no theme layer, and the grid, the cards and the absent branding are on every plan, with the photo or video background on Pro and Premium, because the page is the grid itself: you drag a card anywhere and the rest settle, you make a card bigger or smaller by choosing its size, and the phone layout is a second grid you arrange the same way, so the page looks the way you set it on both screens rather than the way a theme stacks it.

What matters more than price?

When both free plans cost $0 and both Premium plans cost $30 a month billed annually at 0%, what matters more than the price is what the free plan withholds from a creator who has not sold yet. Of the two, the lowest risk is the free plan that withholds the least, and by the numbers above that is Onlink's: 10% of a sale against 12%, no branding footer against one that comes off on Pro, and no ads against a pilot that may show one after a click.

The paid plans then buy different things: Onlink Pro at $10 a month billed annually lowers the fee to 7% and sits below Linktree Pro at $12 with 9% on both the price and the fee, while Linktree's tiers buy the tools Onlink does not offer, the auto-replies, the scheduling, the shortener, the QR code and the mailing list integrations, and the design Onlink puts on every plan. Between the two Premium plans nothing separates the price on annual billing and $2.50 a month separates it on monthly billing, so that pairing is decided by the tools, not the fee.

It depends on what you sell and which tools you are shopping for, and the table takes it case by case. For a file, a course or a paid call sold at 10% with no branding and no ads, and for a page you arrange yourself for the desktop and the phone, the answer is Onlink; for Instagram auto-replies, social scheduling, a link shortener, a QR code, scheduled links or an affiliate shop, and for Shops commissions in the United States, it is Linktree.

  • You sell more than $300 a month on Onlink, or $250 on Linktree: Premium at $30 a month billed annually costs less than the free plan's fee; on monthly billing Linktree's is $35 and Onlink's $37.50.

Yes, "Free with restrictions" in its own words: unlimited basic links, one featured link, selling at 12%, the Linktree footer on the page, and, in a pilot, a short ad some visitors may see after a click. Onlink's free plan sells at 10% with no Onlink branding badge and no ads.

Is Linktree Pro worth it?

Against Onlink, its Pro costs $12 a month billed annually with 9% on a sale; Onlink Pro costs $10 with 7%, and Onlink Free costs $0 with 10%. What Linktree Pro adds that Onlink does not sell at any price is its social tools and mailing list integrations; what it adds that Onlink gives away is the absent branding and the design.

Linktree is a list of links with selling, social tools and design sold by tier, from $6 to $30 a month billed annually; Onlink is a link in bio page on a bento grid you arrange for the desktop and the phone, with digital products, courses with hosted video, paid calls and donations on the free plan at 10%, no Onlink branding badge on any plan, and a library where buyers keep what they bought while it stays on your page.

Does Linktree hold your money?

Its Shops commissions, for creators in the United States, are paid "usually on a monthly basis" after the retailer's returns window, "up to 60 days or sometimes longer".
